Shell is seeking a Senior Analyst – Global ETD to support its Global Derivatives Team. This role focuses on building automation solutions, functional mappings, and reporting workflows to enhance data accuracy, efficiency, and insights across the derivatives lifecycle.

As a Functional Analyst, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams (operations, technology, compliance, and vendors) to streamline derivatives processes through tools like Alteryx, VBA, Excel Macros, and Power BI. You will play a key role in enabling automation, developing reports, and ensuring consistency of data for decision-making in a global finance environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Alteryx workflows to automate reporting and data transformation
  • Build and optimize Excel Macros and VBA scripts to eliminate manual tasks
  • Design functional mappings for derivatives products and processes
  • Create insightful reports and dashboards in Power BI
  • Collaborate with technology and business teams to gather requirements and design solutions
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of financial data across systems
  • Support seamless integration with third-party applications and reconciliation platforms
  • Conduct UAT and validations of workflows and mappings
  • Train and support end-users on Alteryx and macro tools
  • Document workflows, reporting frameworks, and best practices

Key Technical Skills:

Alteryx Designer, VBA, Excel Macros, Power BI, SQL, Python (preferred), Agile methodologies, Data automation, Derivatives lifecycle knowledge (ETD, OTC)

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science, or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in derivatives operations or functional analysis
  • Strong expertise in Alteryx, VBA, Excel Macros, and Power BI
  • Experience with third-party trade processing/reconciliation platforms
  • Understanding of derivatives products and lifecycle events (ETD, OTC preferred)
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Preferred: Alteryx Certification, SQL/Python skills, Agile project experience
